Protech is currently hiring Asphalt Workers to join our client’s team in Cairns. Work includes both local projects and away‑from‑home crews.
New to industry candidates are encouraged to apply.
About the Role
- Immediate start
- Casual ongoing work with potential to transition to full‑time
- $36–$38 per hour + penalties
- Away‑from‑home work and night shifts as required
- Labouring role with clear career development opportunities
- Long‑term placements available
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with asphalt paving and maintenance projects
- General labouring and ground works
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Ability to work away from home when required
- Ability to work night shift if needed
- Willingness to learn, grow, and adapt on the job
What You Need
- Construction White Card
- Driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Asphalt or spray seal experience (desirable, not essential)
- HR licence, Roller ticket, or machinery tickets (desirable)
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical
