Protech are currently seeking expression of interests for Field Officers to work from the Laidley Depot with the Fire Ant Program through Biosecurity Queensland
This is an ongoing position and will require thorough and effective surveillance and treatment of insect pests through Southern Queensland.

Great pay rates- $34 + per hour
Able to work up a 9 day fortnight, Monday to Friday, with an RDO every fortnight
Start times between 6:30am and 7am depending on time of year and team allocation. Finish times between 3:30pm and 4pm
PPE and vehicle during work hours provided
Key Duties:
Visual surveillance and bait treatment for insects
Daily reporting tasks, data collection and record keeping
Driving Company vehicle
Mandatory Position Requirements:
Car licence (Opens desirable but P’S may apply)
Have outdoor work experience in Landscaping, Agriculture, Arboriculture, Land Management and Conservation, Civil, Farming
Ability to work in a team environment
Face to Face customer service experience
Be physically fit as the role requires substantial walking through challenging terrain up to 10 – 15klm per day
Pass a drug and alcohol screen
Must be able to complete and pass a Police check
