Ore Definition Technician

Protech is seeking experienced Ore Definition Technicians to join our clients’ operations on an 8/6 roster, working across a range of gold and iron ore mine sites.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Start Date: 10/03/2026 and 31/03/26 
  • Duration: 3-4 months
  • Roster8 days on, 6 days off
  • Location: Various Sites
  • Super on all hours


KEY RESPONSIBILITIEs:

  • Managing, monitoring and supervision of earthworks, including preparation of drill pads and access tracks.
  • Validation and quality – review the accuracy and quality of sample pickup, sample despatch, and pegging/rehabilitation data prior to submission or release.
  • QAQC – undertake Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC) checks on a regular basis.
  • Take responsibility for and care of all equipment provided and report any equipment issues.


TICKETS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Current, Australian manual C Class driver licence (Mandatory).
  • Dogging Ticket DG ( desirable).
  • Forklift ticket ( desirable).
  • Current, Australian manual MR/HR(highly desirable).
  • Experience in the iron ore industry.
  • Competent with demarcation (pegging). Demonstrated ability to reliably navigate using map and GPS.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions / procedures.
