In 2006, Marc Meili founded Protech with a clear mission: to raise the standard of quality and reliability in workforce services. With an engineering background and mechanical trade qualification, Marc combined technical expertise with business insight to create a company that prioritises safety, professionalism, and delivering the right people for the right roles. 

From day one, Marc’s guiding principle for Protech was simple: to be a positive influence in people’s lives. That mission has shaped Protech into a trusted partner for Australia’s leading companies, built on strong relationships and a commitment to excellence. Today, as we celebrate 20 years, Marc’s passion for quality and innovation continues to drive our success and future growth.

2006
Protech is Founded

Protech was founded by Marc Meili, aiming to set new high standards in service, reliability, consistency, and professionalism in recruitment.

2011
Milestone
500 Field Employees & 5 Years in Business

At 5-years, Protech has a national branch network, secured major Preferred Supplier Agreements, and has over 500 field employees on-site daily.

2015
Safety Commitment

Protech launched our innovative our Protech Certified Process, with a physical agility testing program which identified musculoskeletal risks for all applicants, enhancing our commitment to safety and ensuring Quality People Every Time.

10 Years & Winners Seek SARA Award - Medium

At 10 years Protech was awarded the Seek SARA Medium Recruitment Agency of The Year in recognition of our excellence within the recruitment industry. With over 1300 full time equivalent employees, Protech celebrated this defining milestone.

2018
Dreampath Recruitment launched

Protech and Blackrock Industries launch Dreampath Recruitment a supply nation certified Indigenous-owned company, making it one of Australia's largest Indigenous Workforce Services providers.

2019
Quantum Safety launched

Protech launched Quantum Safety, expanding into the Rail industry with Track Protection officers across Australia.

2020
GROUP TRAINING ORGANISATION LAUNCHED

Protech national Group Training Organisation certification (ex ACT) and proudly enabling apprentice and trainee careers across Australia.

MINING BUSINESS ACQUISITION

Acquisition of Global Product Search QLD – renamed to Protech Mining and Maintenance East.

Environmental Commitment

Protech are certified for environmental as well as safety and quality (which we have held since 2007) with a net zero 2030 commitment.

Protech Rail – providing specialised services in the Rail Industry

Building Construction Business Acquisition

2024 - OCC/A2B – VIC/QLD/WA – OCC and A2B specialise in Traffic and Construction Labour hire on large EBA projects.

Protech launched Protech Traffic, including a Fleet of Traffic Control vehicles and a specialised team to deliver Traffic Management services. Protech Traffic is committed to setting a new high standard in traffic management by delivering safer outcomes, superior quality, and unmatched service to clients throughout Australia.
