Women In Non-Traditional Roles
Just One More Protech Plus
Working towards gender diversity across all industries.
We are fully embracing the opportunity to increase the participation of women from the small percentage of the construction industry it is today. It’s important that we work together to have a positive impact on diversity in the industry.
By creating a program specifically designed to attract, train, and develop women within the industry, Protech can help you diversify your workforce.

Women In Construction Pre-Employment Program
The pre-employment program, run in partnership with RoadTek and Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ), provides women with an overview of the industry and the career paths available. They’re also given the opportunity to acquire the skill-set to become immediately operationally effective in the industry, with life-skills training combined with accredited industry training.
Once employed, applicants will have access to ongoing mentoring provided by mentors via Protech partners which include the National Association of Women in Construction.
This program has been successfully run annually since 2017, with 90 percent of applicants continuing to work for RoadTek and/or with other companies. In 2023 RoadTek are running its 8th consecutive program, and Protech would like to thank our partners Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) and RoadTek for their ongoing commitment to increasing the representation of Women in Construction.
