Asphalt Level Hand

Protech are currently seeking experienced Asphalt Level Hands for ongoing road and asphalt works with a leading contractor based south of Cairns. These roles offer consistent hours, competitive pay, and the opportunity to work on essential infrastructure projects.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Immediate start available
• Casual roles with ongoing work
• Based south of Cairns
• Potential to earn overtime and applicable penalty rates
• Possible night shift work depending on project requirements
• Working away from home at times may be required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assisting asphalt crews with laying, levelling, and finishing works
• Operating rakes, lutes, and other asphalt tools
• Supporting spray seal and asphalt placement activities
• Working safely around plant, paving crews, and heavy machinery
• Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment

TICKETS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Previous experience as an Asphalt Level Hand or in asphalt crews
• Experience with asphalt placement and finishing highly desirable
• Relevant civil or plant tickets (e.g. Roller, Skid Steer) advantageous
• Construction White Card
• MUST have a reliable vehicle and drivers license 
• Strong safety awareness and work ethic

• Physically fit and capable of manual labour
• Able to work in a fast-paced asphalt crew environment
• Flexible with hours, including potential night work and travel
• Actively seeking ongoing work
