Line Marking Civil Labourers & Supervisor Wanted | ASAP Start | Ongoing Work | Townsville & Surrounds
Protech are currently seeking Line Marking Civil Labourers and an experienced Supervisor to form part of a dedicated line marking crew delivering local government road and maintenance projects across the Townsville & surrounding regions.
This is not general civil work — we are specifically looking for labourers who will be working within line marking operations, alongside a Supervisor to lead the crew on-site.
These roles offer ongoing, stable work with long-term career opportunities.
About the Role
- Commencing ASAP
- Ongoing, stable work with consistent hours
- Working across Townsville & remote project locations
- Working away from home required (10/4 cycle & 9-day fortnight rosters)
- Night shifts required due to traffic and project delivery
- Opportunity for long-term placement and progression
- Hourly rate + penalties, overtime & applicable allowances
Line Marking Civil Labourers – Key Responsibilities
- Assist in line marking and road maintenance operations
- General civil labouring within a specialised line marking crew
- Set-up, operation, and pack-down of line marking equipment
- Work safely in live traffic environments and active roadwork zones
- Manual handling and maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Follow all WHS and traffic management requirements
Line Marking Supervisor – Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the line marking crew on-site
- Plan daily works and ensure projects are delivered on time and to standard
- Oversee all line marking activities from setup through to completion
- Ensure compliance with safety, traffic management, and QA standards
- Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks, and site risk assessments
- Manage QA documentation and reporting (including CivilPro)
- Coordinate crew, plant, materials, and logistics
- Liaise with Project Managers and stakeholders
Civil Labourer – Tickets & Experience
- Construction White Card
- Traffic Control Ticket (Highly Desired)
- MR Licence or Higher (Essential)
- Previous Civil Labouring or outdoor work experience (Highly Regarded)
- Physically fit and capable of manual labour
- Reliable transport
Supervisor Tickets & Experience Required
- Construction White Card
- Traffic Control Ticket (Highly Desired)
- MR Licence or Higher (Essential)
- Proven experience in Civil Construction and/or line marking
- Previous Supervisory or Leading Hand Experience (Highly Regarded)
- Strong understanding of WHS and traffic management requirements
- Solid computer skills for QA systems and reporting
