Role Overview
As a Freight Forwarder, you will support day to day freight handling operations within a fast paced logistics environment. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient loading, unloading, sorting, and movement of freight to ensure timely dispatch and delivery. Flexibility, reliability, and a strong safety focus are key to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers safely and efficiently
- Sort, scan, and stage freight for outbound and inbound movement
- Handle palletised, loose, and sensitive freight with care
- Assist with inbound receiving and outbound dispatch processes
- Check freight against manifests and report discrepancies
- Use of RF Scanners
- Ensure correct allocation of freight to designated delivery zones
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe dock area
Working Conditions
- Casual / on call employment with variable hours
- Asorted daily weekly sorted will suit flexible work arrangements
- Shifts AM and PM – duration of shifts 4 -5 hours
- Physically active role involving lifting, bending, and squatting
- Exposure to warehouse and outdoor dock environments
- Potential for increased hours during peak periods
About You:
- Experience in RF Scanning
- New starters in transport and logistics are welcome
- Physically fit
- Must be able to pass a pre employment medical
This role will have deployment sites throughout Perth Airport and Welshpool locations.
