Protech are looking for Instrumentation Technician to perform work with our client, located in Merriden on a 7/7 DIDO project.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Flexible start date
- 6-12 month contract
- 10 hour days
- $67 per hour plus penalties
- $103 per day – LAHA
- Accommodation supplied
- Travel time paid
- Based in Merriden
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled electrical and instrumentation maintenance.
• Install, calibrate and maintain PLC, SCADA, communication systems, instrumentation and analysers.
• Undertake advanced fault finding on PLC, instrumentation and SCADA equipment.
• Complete HV switching duties (Competent or Authorised as required).
• Perform complex isolation’s, shutdowns and water operational problem solving.
• Carry out PID loop tuning, program modifications and communication protocol troubleshooting (Ethernet, Profibus, Modbus, DNP3).
• Support work planning, resource forecasting and maintenance project preparation.
• Supervise apprentices, trainees and Level 1–2 EDTs as required.
• Participate in call-out/standby rosters and overtime as required.
TICKETS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Electrical Trade
- Instrumentation Certificate
- Drivers licence & reliable transport
- Min 2year/s experience working within the industrial industry
