Protech Cairns is seeking experienced Civil Labourers for ongoing civil construction projects based at Wangetti Beach, approximately 40km north of Cairns and 25km south of Port Douglas. These positions offer consistent work, competitive rates, and the opportunity to be part of a major civil infrastructure project.
About the Role
- Immediate start available
- Casual positions with ongoing work
- Based at Wangetti Beach
- Pay rates starting from $40.00 per hour
- Overtime and penalty rates available
- Potential for day and night shift work depending on project requirements
- Stable, long-term opportunities for the right candidates
Key Responsibilities
- General civil labouring duties
- Assisting with road, drainage, and civil construction works
- Manual handling and use of hand and power tools
- Working safely around machinery, plant, and site personnel
- Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment
- Following all site safety procedures and directions
Tickets & Experience Required
- Previous civil labouring experience preferred
- Civil construction tickets such as Excavator, Skid Steer, Roller or similar highly regarded
- Construction White Card
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Reliable vehicle and ability to travel to and from the Wangetti Beach worksite daily
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

- Reliable, punctual, and committed to attending work every day
- Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual labour
- Able to work flexible hours, including potential night shifts
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Seeking ongoing employment within the civil construction industry
- Able to travel independently to the Wangetti Beach worksite each shift

Due to project requirements, applicants must be available for an immediate start and have reliable transport to travel to and from the Wangetti Beach site (approximately 40km north of Cairns and 25km south of Port Douglas).
