Protech are looking for motivated and reliable applicants who are keen to start a career in Civil Construction. Based on the Gold Coast, this traineeship offers an immediate start, hands-on experience, and the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be hosted by a Government Organisation that will support and mentor you throughout your traineeship. This is a great opportunity to kick-start your career in Civil Construction, gaining hands-on experience while completing a nationally recognised qualification. You’ll work alongside experienced crews across a range of road construction and maintenance projects, learning practical skills that can set you up for a long-term career in the industry.

- Day shift only
- Gain a Certificate III in Civil Construction – Road Construction and Maintenance (3-year traineeship)
- Permanent fixed-term employment with a minimum of 38 hours per week
- Annual leave and personal leave entitlements
- On-the-job training and ongoing support from experienced mentors

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- General labouring tasks across road construction and maintenance projects
- Assist crews with a variety of civil and roadwork activities
- Set up and pack down site equipment and work zones
- Use hand and power tools under supervision
- Maintain a safe and tidy work environment
- Work as part of a team to support daily operations
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
- Complete the theory and practical requirements of your traineeship
TICKETS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Current Driver Licence
- A genuine interest in building a career in Civil Construction
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Previous civil, labouring or construction experience highly regarded but not essential
- Construction White Card
- Ability to perform physical outdoor work
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug test
- Provide two recent, contactable work references
