Protech are looking for qualified Carpenters to perform work on a government housing project based in Portsmith, Cairns.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Commencing 1 September 2026
- Casual position
- Monday to Friday roster
- Project duration through to 30 November 2026
- Potential for extension
- Local Cairns-based project
- Working on the construction of new modular homes
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out carpentry works on modular housing construction projects
- Complete general maintenance and cross-trade duties as required
- Work independently or within a small team environment
- Maintain accurate records and utilise basic computer systems
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
TICKETS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Qualified Carpenter (Trade Certificate)
- Construction White Card
- Current Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
- Experience within residential or commercial construction
- Ability to work within a small team or independently
- Sound understanding of WH&S requirements
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to undertake a variety of trade-related tasks
