About the Role: Protech is currently seeking motivated and reliable Civil Road Maintenance & Construction Workers for ongoing infrastructure projects across North Queensland, regional Queensland, and remote locations.
These roles offer the opportunity to work across a variety of road maintenance, construction, and infrastructure projects for multiple clients. We are looking for candidates who enjoy hands-on outdoor work, can work effectively within a team, and are willing to travel and work away from home when required.
Duties May Include:
- Road construction and rehabilitation works
- Road maintenance and asset preservation activities
- Bridge, culvert and structure maintenance
- Concrete repairs and formwork activities
- Earthworks and pavement maintenance
- Traffic sign and roadside asset maintenance
- Vegetation control and drainage works
- Asphalt and spray sealing operations
- Traffic signal and street lighting maintenance
- Line marking and traffic guidance installation
- Emergency response and repair works
- General labouring and civil construction activities
Essential Requirements
- Current Driver Licence
- Construction White Card
- Ability to work away from home on remote projects
- Availability to work day and night shifts as required
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screening
- Ability to attend the Protech office for onboarding and compliance requirements
Highly Regarded
- MR Licence or higher
- Trade background (Carpentry, Building, Concreting or similar)
- Civil construction, road maintenance or infrastructure experience
- Additional machinery tickets and licences
- Experience working within operational road corridors
