About the Role Protech is currently seeking experienced and safety-focused Civil Plant Operators for ongoing projects across North Queensland, regional Queensland, and remote locations.
These opportunities span a variety of road maintenance, civil construction, asphalt, spray seal, and infrastructure projects. We are looking for operators who can work safely and efficiently within a team environment and are willing to travel when required.
Duties May Include:
- Operating civil construction plant and equipment
- Road construction and maintenance works
- Asphalt and spray seal operations
- Earthworks and pavement works
- Drainage and culvert construction
- Road shoulder and rehabilitation works
- Traffic management support activities
- Routine plant inspections and maintenance
- General civil construction activities
Essential Requirements
- Current Driver Licence
- Construction White Card
- RII / Appropriate license or ticket for operating machinery
- Demonstrated operating experience within civil, construction, road maintenance, or asphalt environments
- Ability to work away from home when required
- Availability for day and night shift work
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen
- Ability to attend the Protech office for onboarding and compliance requirements
Highly Regarded
- MR Licence or higher
- Roller, Loader, Excavator, Skid Steer, Grader or Moxy experience
- Asphalt or spray seal experience
- Traffic Management tickets
- Additional machinery tickets and licences
- Experience working on live road networks
