Protech is currently seeking experienced Electrical Instrumentation Technicians to join our client — a growing, ASX-listed gold producer and development company. Operating both established and emerging assets, our client is actively expanding their fixed plant at a key gold project located in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields. This position is offered on a FIFO 8:6/7:7 Roster.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- $70 per hour
- Temp – Perm Opportunity
- 8:6/7:7 Roster
- Day Shift (ONLY)
- ASAP Start
- 12 hours days worked/paid
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The purpose of the Electrician and Instrumentation Technician role is to install, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment for the fixed plant and site infrastructure to achieve optimum availability on a planned basis and provide a responsive service to unplanned breakdowns.
- Work towards planned maintenance and inspection activities on a daily basis to maintain all fixed plant and site infrastructure
- Inspect and test electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment and repair
- Assist in the development of maintenance plans
- Assist in planning for shutdowns
- Provide electrical service for unplanned maintenance and breakdowns
- Undertake fault finding and take corrective actions.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- WA Electrical Workers Licence – A Grade
- High Voltage Switching Certificate
- Computer literacy skills (Pronto highly regarded)
- Industry certificates, including High Risk Work License, Elevated Work Platform, Forklift (LF), WAH and Confined Spaces desirable.
- A current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
- Dual Electrical Trades and Instrument Technician qualified (highly regarded)
- Minimum 3 years in a similar fixed plant role in a mining environment
