Protech SA is seeking experienced Plant Operators for ongoing work within the Port Pirie Smelter.
We are looking for experienced Plant Operators holding the following tickets:
- Articulated Dump Trucks (4OT)
- Loaders
- Excavators
- Water Carts
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Location: Port Pirie, South Australia – Candidates must be local to Port Pirie or surrounding suburbs.
- Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts on a 7-day rotating roster.
- Shifts: Both day and night shifts available.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate a range of heavy plant machinery
- Perform pre-start checks and basic maintenance.
- Follow strict smelter safety protocols and environmental standards.
- Assist with general site duties when required.
TICKETS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Construction White
- Current driver’s licence & reliable transport.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating heavy plant machinery.
- Relevant RII Tickets for ADT, Loader, Excavator, and Water Cart operation.
- VOC’s (Verification of Competency) highly regarded.
- Strong safety focus and ability to work in a high-risk industrial environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
