Project Manager
Join a high‑performing team delivering capital works and building projects that shape Queensland communities. We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager who can lead projects from concept through to completion while ensuring quality outcomes for clients.

About the Role
In this role, you’ll oversee all phases of building project delivery — from early planning and design through to construction, handover and post‑completion review. You’ll work closely with internal teams, consultants, contractors and clients to ensure every project is delivered safely, on time, on budget and to specification.

Key Responsibilities
As the Project Manager, you will:

• Lead and coordinate end‑to‑end project delivery, including pre‑design, design, documentation, contract administration and post‑construction activities.
• Be accountable for ensuring the final built product meets client expectations for quality, function and compliance.
• Manage and coordinate project teams, external consultants, contractors, and other business units to achieve project milestones and outcomes.
• Provide expert contract coordination across both traditional and non‑traditional procurement and contract models.
• Monitor and deliver projects against scope, schedule, budget, cash‑flow and quality requirements, while supporting QBuild’s financial performance targets.
• Maintain strong day‑to‑day communication with clients and stakeholders, building trusted relationships.
• Lead negotiations with consultants, contractors, local authorities and internal stakeholders to ensure value‑for‑money solutions and positive project outcomes.
• Identify and control project risks and variances through exception reporting, audits and performance monitoring.
• Support senior project leaders in determining appropriate fees and assisting with client billing processes.
• Ensure all quality assurance processes are followed and contribute to continuous improvement across the project team.
• Mentor and guide Project Managers and team members, supporting performance, development and professional conduct.

Additional Requirements

• Relevant qualifications and/or experience in project management, building and construction management, superintendent’s representative duties, or similar.
• A current C‑class driver’s licence.
• Ability to travel to construction sites, client premises and consultant offices using a government fleet vehicle.
