About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced Project Support Officers to join a high-performing team delivering large-scale engineering and shipbuilding projects. Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to Project Managers and project teams
- Maintain project databases, registers, and documentation
- Monitor project schedules, task updates, and reporting requirements
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support project delivery
- Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and project reports
- Support contract administration and project documentation processes
- Assist with procurement tasks, including purchase requisitions, RFQs, and invoice reconciliation
- Manage project email inboxes and ensure timely responses and filing
- Perform records management and ensure accurate data entry
- Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Skills & Attributes Essential
- Previous experience in administration or project support roles
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong time management and organisational abilities
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professional customer service skills
- Must be an Australian Citizen
Desirable
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Business, Administration, or related field
- Experience in contract administration, estimating, or project environments
- Experience using IFS, SAP, or similar ERP systems
- Experience within defence, marine, or large-scale engineering projects
