Construction Worker – Structures (Bridges & Culverts)

We are currently seeking 4x Construction Workers (Band B) to join our client’s Structures Team in Townsville. This is an exciting opportunity to work on essential infrastructure projects, with a strong pipeline of upcoming work as new crews are established in 2026.
About the Role This position involves the rehabilitation and maintenance of bridges and culverts, with a strong focus on hands-on concrete remedial work.
You will be part of a team delivering high-quality infrastructure maintenance across regional and remote locations.
Key Duties:
- Hands-on concrete remedial work
- Rehabilitation and maintenance of bridges and culverts
- Crack repairs
- Cleaning and surface preparation
- Preparation for concrete patching
- Learn and apply bridge maintenance procedures
About You
We are looking for fit, motivated and reliable workers who enjoy hands-on outdoor work. Candidates from broader civil or construction backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Essential Requirements:
- Current License
- White Card
- Ability to work away from home (remote projects)
- Availability for day and night shifts
- Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical
- Able to attend our Protech office
Desirable:
- MR Licence
- Trade background (Carpentry, Building, Concreting, etc.)
- Experience in civil, maintenance or infrastructure projects
- Previous exposure to bridge or culvert work (not essential)
- Additional Tickets
Work Conditions
- 10/4 roster (9-day fortnight)
- Work includes remote and regional projects
- Travel with crew required
