Protech is seeking experienced Haul Truck, Multi-Skilled and Excavator Operators to join our team at Thiess’ Olive Downs Complex, one of Queensland’s newest mining operations in the Bowen Basin.
Located just 40 kilometres south-east of Moranbah, Olive Downs is a large-scale greenfield mining development. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing operation from the ground up.
About the role:
Reporting to the Production Superintendent, you will be responsible for the safe operation of heavy mobile plant onsite at the Olive Downs Complex. You will work collaboratively with your crew and the wider site team towards delivering safe, high-quality results.
We have multiple vacancies for the following skillsets:
- Experienced Haul Truck Operators – $79.45
- Experienced Multi Skilled Operators – $88.14
- Experienced Excavator Operators – $93.55

About you:
- Demonstrated mining production experience
- Experience operating CAT 793 haul trucks (or equivalent) is highly regarded
- Minimum 12 months operating experience on one or more of the following: Excavators, Dozers, Graders, Loaders, Haul Trucks
- Experience in hard rock mining operation desirable
- Provide a current training transcript with SSE verification
- Preferred experience with CAT MineStar technologies including: Command for Haulage, Fleet and/or Terrain
- Proof of Australian working rights
- Current Drivers Licence
- Current Standard 11
- HA (Coal Board Medical)
