It’s time for our trains to be refurbished! & no better place for this to occur than in Newcastle, where they were originally manufactured 40 years ago…
To assist with extending the life of the fleet, Protech are seeking 20+ Vehicle builders / Shipwrights / Sheet Metal Workers to work on a variety of passenger train upgrades at our client facility based in Cardiff.
Duties will include, though are not limited too:
- Read and follow engineering plans and technical drawings.
- Cut, shape, and weld metal panels.
- Bolt, rivet, and weld structural framework sections together.
- Attach body panels to rolling stock.
- Install functional parts like doors, windows, hinges, and locks.
- Fit specialized equipment such as hoists, brakes & axles
