Construction Labourer/Forklift Operator

Protech are currently seeking Labourers to support a housing construction project in Cairns. These roles will involve a mix of general labouring and logistics support, offering ongoing, stable work for candidates with the right experience and attitude.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Immediate start available
• Casual roles with ongoing work
• Working on residential housing construction projects
• Mix of labouring and logistics/material handling duties
• Forklift operation required for site support
• Local Cairns-based work (no remote required)
• Day shifts with overtime available
• Penalty rates and overtime apply

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• General labouring and site clean-up
• Assisting trades with materials and site prep
• Loading, unloading, and moving materials around site
• Operating forklift to support deliveries and logistics
• Stock control and organisation of site materials
• Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment
• Adhering to WHS and site safety requirements

TICKETS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Construction White Card
• Current Forklift Licence (essential)
• Previous labouring experience (construction highly regarded)
• Experience in logistics, warehousing, or material handling
• Physically fit and capable of manual labour
• Ability to work safely in a team environment
• Reliable transport

Desirable (but not essential):

• Experience on residential or commercial construction sites
• MR licence
