You will play a key role in assisting customers, ensuring compliance with site requirements, and supporting the safe and efficient operation of the landfill facility. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service and direct customers to appropriate disposal/recycling areas 
  • Operate the gatehouse and weighbridge systems
  • Identify loads and ensure waste meets acceptance criteria
  • Collect payments, record transactions, and reconcile daily revenue 
  • Maintain accurate records using associated systems and technology
  • Support site operations and maintain a safe, organised work environment

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Experience handling cash and reconciling transactions
  • Sound computer skills and ability to learn new systems (weighbridge software)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, public-facing environment
  • A strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Requirements

  • Current Driver’s Licence (C Class) 
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical

Reticulation Maintenance Worker 
📍 Townsville, QLD (Garbutt)
⏰ ASAP Start | Ongoing Potential

This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining and repairing essential water infrastructure, including pipelines, hydrants, and pump stations. You will work as part of a crew to ensure reliable water services across the region. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on water infrastructure, including pipelines and hydrants 
  • Respond to faults such as burst water mains and leaks
  • Assist with planned and reactive maintenance works
  • Operate tools and equipment, including power tools and machinery
  • Set up safe work sites, including traffic and safety controls
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures 
  • Collect and report operational data as required
  • Outdoor, physically demanding role across Townsville region
  • Manual handling and lifting required
  • Exposure to heat, weather, and construction environments 
  • Participation in roster and call-outs may be required 

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in civil, maintenance, or labouring roles
  • Strong physical fitness and ability to perform manual work
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments in varying conditions
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
  • Ability to follow procedures and work efficiently in a crew

Requirement

  • MR Licence (required)
  • Traffic Management Implementation certification (Or ability to obtain)
  • Asbestos awareness training (and/or experience) 
  • Dogman / Crane Chaser ticket (desirable/required) 
  • Forklift licence (desirable) 
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical
  • Ability to obtain Police Check

Patrol Officer (Local Laws) 
📍 Townsville, QLD (Kirwan)
⏰ Immediate Start | Short-Term Contract + Extensions

This is a community-facing role responsible for patrolling parks, reserves, and public spaces to ensure compliance with local laws, promote safe community use, and respond to incidents. 
You will play a key role in maintaining safety, engaging with the public, and enforcing regulations where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patrol parks, reserves, waterways, and public spaces to monitor compliance 
  • Engage with the public to provide education, direction, and safety advice
  • Investigate complaints and respond to incidents (e.g. animal control, public safety) 
  • Issue warnings, notices, and enforcement actions where required
  • Conduct inspections and record incidents using systems and reports
  • Maintain a visible presence in the community to deter non-compliance 
  • Combination of outdoor patrol work and some office/admin duties
  • Rostered hours (may include weekends and early starts) 
  • Physically active role including walking, driving, and occasional manual handling 
  • Regular interaction with the public, including conflict resolution scenarios

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence working in public-facing and sometimes challenging situations
  • Ability to manage conflict and resolve issues professionally 
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Good attention to detail and report writing capability
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Combination of outdoor patrol work and some office/admin duties

Requirements

  • Current Driver’s Licence (C Class) 
  • White Card (or willingness to obtain) 
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
  • Ability to obatin Police Check

Highly regarded / desirable:

  • Experience in compliance, local laws, or regulatory roles
  • Background in customer service, security, or community engagement
  • Animal handling or field-based experience
