Protech SA is seeking an experienced Civil Leading Hand to join our client’s team across Adelaide. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone who can coordinate daily site activities while working alongside the crew to deliver high-quality civil and maintenance works.
About the Role
- Immediate start available
- Casual position with ongoing opportunities
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
- Overtime available
- Competitive hourly rates and penalties
- Hands-on leadership role working alongside the crew
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support civil crews on a range of infrastructure and maintenance projects
- Coordinate daily site activities and allocate tasks effectively
- Assist with civil works including road construction, drainage, excavation, and site preparation
- Ensure works are completed safely, on schedule, and to a high standard
- Conduct pre-starts and promote a strong safety culture on site
- Liaise with supervisors, clients, and crew members to ensure smooth project delivery
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Civil Leading Hand or in a supervisory role
- Strong background in civil construction, roadworks, or maintenance projects
- Construction White Card
- Drivers licence
- Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate small crews
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
- Reliable, proactive, and able to lead by example
