The Role We are seeking an experienced Civil Excavator Operator to join a major road widening and infrastructure project in Townsville. You’ll be involved in a range of earthworks and construction activities within a professional, safety‑focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Earthmoving, trenching, and benching using GPS systems
- Large bore water pipeline construction
- Culvert installation and trench excavation
- Installation of pipes and pits
- Operating excavators ranging from 5T–50T
- Working to site plans, levels, and safety requirements
- Laser level operation (desirable)
About You
- Proven experience operating 5–50 tonne excavators on civil construction projects
- Road construction and infrastructure experience
- Experience using GPS machine control systems
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Valid Construction White Card
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
- Reliable transport and a strong work ethic
