Protech are currently seeking Civil Labourers to support line marking and civil maintenance works across local government projects. These roles involve a mix of local and remote work, depending on project requirements, and offer ongoing, stable employment for candidates keen to learn and develop within this space.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Immediate start available
Casual roles with ongoing work
Local government civil maintenance projects
Experience in line marking is not required
Strong interest in learning all aspects of line marking is highly desirable
Working away from home when required (local and remote projects)
Availability to work an 11‑day fortnight away when required
Night works required from time to time due to traffic conditions and program delivery requirements
Penalty rates, overtime, and penalties apply

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

General civil labouring duties
Assisting with line marking operations and road maintenance works
Set‑up, operation, and pack‑down of line marking and site equipment
Working safely around live traffic, plant, and public areas
Manual handling, preparation, and maintenance of work areas
Adhering to WHS requirements and traffic management controls

TICKETS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Construction White Card
MR or HR licence
Previous civil labouring or outdoor work experience (highly regarded)
Willingness to learn line marking processes and techniques
Physically fit and capable of manual labour
Ability to work flexible hours, including night works when required
Reliable transport

Desirable (but not essential):

Traffic Control (TC / TMI)
Experience working in road, council, or public infrastructure environments
