Protech have the opportunity to join a construction business unit of the Queensland Government as a Construction Supervisor. The position is initially short term running until the end of the financial year where duration will be evaluated. The position will be positioned in Roma.
Specific capabilities and requirements for this role are:
- Building Industry Trade Background preferred
- Construction industry related trade qualification (highly desirable)
- Current White Card
- Supervisor role, scoping, tendering experience .
- Contract administration covering a range of preventative maintenance services
- Supervision of contractors and trade staff
- Technical knowledge and good understanding of building services
- Competent in the use of excel, word and outlook
- Participate in and facilitate WHS audits, undertake on-site WHS inspections including plant and equipment checks
- Good understanding of procurement and work order management processes
- Good understanding of technical specifications and service frequencies
- Assist in the planning and delivery of projects through the efficient supervision and development of office staff, field staff and subcontractors.
- Undertake high quality condition assessment and estimation services to ensure efficient and cost-effective project outcomes.
- Maintain a healthy and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with current human resource practices and principles, including employment equity, anti-discrimination and workplace health and safety.
- Provide a level of supervisory services in respect to the delivery of construction, maintenance and upgrade work undertaken by the business
- Produce high quality tender and quotation documentation for building projects and prepare accurate and timely estimates, quotations and project trade packages, including material lists and construction programs.
Rate for the position will be $62.59hr + occasional overtime
Position will commence immediately on finding suitable candidate.
