Protech is currently seeking experienced Field Technicians to join our client located in the Yorke Peninsula Council in South Australia. This position is offered on a Monday – Friday roster.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- $53 per hour
- Contract to Christmas with potential extension
- Mon – Friday Day Shift Only
- 10-12 hour days
- Start Date ASAP
- Local role to Yorke Peninsula location
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate closely with the exploration drilling team.
- Collect, record, and transport rock samples from drilling activities.
- Conduct sample preparation, including core sampling.
- Compile and process collected sample data using relevant computer systems.
- Ensure strict adherence to the company’s QA/QC protocols at all times.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Extensive and up-to-date experience in exploration mining operations
- Enthusiastic about performing a wide range of hands-on fieldwork
- Well-rounded knowledge of exploration methodologies and mining processes
- Proficient in RC sampling, handling, and processing
- Holder of a current C-class driver’s licence
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Skilled in computer use and data entry
- Highly safety-conscious with a proven commitment to safe work practices
- Effective team player, capable of working collaboratively in small crews
