Protech are looking for experienced UG Cable Bolter to perform work with our client, located at a mine site in the NT on a 2/2 FIFO basis.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Start Date: Feb 2026
- Short-Term Contract: Approx. 6 Months
- Hourly Pay Rate: $72 – 76 (depending on experience)
- Super on ALL Hours
- Weekly Pay (Thurs)
- Casual Contractor Position
- Flights ex Darwin, Alice Springs, Perth, or Brisbane
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate cable bolting rig; drill, install cable, grout to spec.
- Pre‑starts, risk assessments, ground inspections; stop‑work authority.
- Follow engineered layouts & geotech plans; maintain end‑of‑shift reports.
- Minor maintenance & housekeeping; coordinate servicing.
- Operate jumbo to a reasonable level (assist/fill‑in)
TICKETS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 2 years’ experience in operating Cable Bolters (Essential)
- Experience in operating Jumbos (Desirable)
- Valid Manual Driver’s License
- Ability to maintain fitness for work, pass a pre-employment medical & drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
- Valid & contactable references
- Strong understanding and adherence to OHS
